Heritage and communications expert. He started out as a journalist, working for the BBC in London for 15 years and winning several international awards. In 2022 he obtained a master’s degree in Heritage and Spatial Planning at the Vrije University, Amsterdam. Before this, for a decade he led two campaigns in his native Lima to rehabilitate the city’s pre-colonial indigenous memory. He is also the author of the book “Canals of Lima, 2000 years watering life”, the product of his research on the ancient irrigation canals of his city. His main subjects are narratives, memory and decolonization. He lives in the Netherlands.
